Trove Detective: The Ever Changing Face of Australia

9.30-10.30am               July 16, July 23 or Sept 10

Join us for this hands on workshop where you will be guided through Trove, a freely available online resource from the National Library of Australia that features millions of pictures, newspapers, maps, books etc relating to Australia. Learn how to search more effectively, find those elusive ancestors, places or events that will enrich your family tree and bring their story back to life. Or simply just enjoy the experience of seeing how Australia has grown and changed through this outstanding resource.

Australian War Records Online

11.00-12.00pm             July 16, July 23 or Sept 10

In this workshop you will be guided through searches of the Honour, Commemorative, Nominal and Embarkation Rolls to locate people, service numbers, units, conflicts, photographs, graves, AWM Commemorative Panels or personal service records of those who served in our defence forces. All families have been touched by war, and The Australian War Memorial and the National Archives of Australia provide online databases and records for the family history or military researcher which can reveal a wealth of information about Australian servicemen and women, the World Wars and other conflicts. Join us to find out more!
